Food quality index of academy physical activity practices
Abstract
Introduction: Food has a direct relationship in the prevention and treatment of diseases, as well as in the practice of physical activities, which improves capacity and performance during training. Objective: The objective of this study was to analyze the food quality index of physical activity practitioners in the gym. Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study conducted at a bodybuilding academy in the Federal District from September to October 2019. Fifty students of both sexes were evaluated. A questionnaire with 5 questions about the importance of healthy eating associated with physical activity and a 24-hour record was applied. Results and Discussion: According to IASad 14 (28%) has poor quality diet, 17 (34%) needs improvement and 19 (38%) good quality diet. Conclusion: It can be concluded that, according to the research, the dietary index of the physical activity practitioners is adequate. Since the quality of the diet is adequate, the expected results will be imminent.
