Difference between ingestion carbohydrates, placebo and glycemic curve test progressive in wake (Conconi adapted in wake)
Abstract
Nowadays people want to get better results from the practiced activities, different researches are done to better understand the relations about the aspects that improve the performance in training where the carbohydrate is the most important source of energy to the majority of sports. This ingestion during the exercising improves the blood glucose availability and keeps the organism capacity in using it as the energy source during exercising. The aim of this study was to evaluate the difference between the carbohydrate ingestion (Maltodextrin) and placebo in the stress test (Conconi) adapted on the treadmill, checking the behavior of the glycemic curve before and after the training. Participated in this study, 7 masculine physically active people non practicing of competitive physical activities of running and working out 05 times a week between the ages of 20 and 30 years old, these participants were submitted to the Conconi test, where the glycemic index was verified before and after the test, 5 minutes after the carbohydrate ingestion and placebo and also after finishing the test. We conclude that to the stress test Conconi adapted to the treadmill, being a fast test, no significant difference was noted in the final result between maltodextrin and placebo.
