Consumption of food supplements in academies of Brasília -DF
Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the socio-demographic profile and behavior of the users who practice bodybuilding food supplementation in the academies of Brasilia. The sample consisted of 147 people. Data were collected through self-administered questionnaire containing open and closed questions, multiple choice, applied individually. Most of the respondents are users of dietary supplement of the male corresponding to 56.8%, between 21 and 25 yers are most supplement users (38.9%), most individual had completed higher education (47.4%) and 68.4% of statements made by nutritionists. The use of dietary supplements in the academies is growing, so his prescription should be made by a trained professional so that the objectives of each are actually achieved without adverse effects.
