Anthropometrics of th body composition of teenage athletes of a soccer amateur team in the Rio de Janeiro
Abstract
This study aims to describe the media values of the anthropometrics changes of teenage athletes of a soccer amateur team in the Rio de Janeiro State (Brazil), as well as to compair the fat percentile found by the skinfold method and the bioimpedancy. The sample has been constituted through 52 (fifty two), athletes aging 15 (fifteen) years old. Male gender that were evaluated in non competitive period showing average for the heighting of 166,8 cm length and body mass of 57.54 Kg weighing, respectively. In the skinfold evaluation the tricipital and subescapule skinfold with average of 14.1 %; and the bioimpedancy. For obtaining the body mass index was applied the varying stature and for the body mass is shown desample in eutrophic subjects with over neighing according to WHO (1995) prevailing the eutrophy between 94.24% of the sample and average value of 20.13 Kg/ m². By conclusion: the authors of this study believe that the weighing balance used maybe not the applyable one for the aging type studied due to the lack of the “aging function” in it. Relating to fat percentile as per Boileau’s formula there has not been specific datum once it hasn’t been evaluated the maturation and etnia levels of the sample; though suggesting the two methods as non conclusive thus requiring more studies about it.
