Alimentary profile and corporal composition of athlete of feminine election Paraibana Infanto-Juvenil of Basketball
Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effect of the alimentary ingestion before and after nutritional prescription in the corporal composition and to draw the nutritional and anthropometric profile. Methodology: A traverse study, with 10 athletes (15.3 years old). Energy and macronutrients ingestion were appraised through the recall of 24 hours. The body composition was evaluated by weight, height, IMC, thin mass and % of fat esteemed according to the protocol of Pollock 7 folds. Results: Energy ingestion: 2607.32 Kcal and 2909.09 Kcal; Carbohydrates: 6.4 g / Kg of weight / day and 4.9 g / Kg of weight / day; Proteins: 1.69 g / day and 1.74 g / day and Lipids: 23.19% and 26.59%. All the values related to the beginning and the end of the macro cycle respectively. Corporal composition: % of fat: 24.3, 22.7 and 23.1 related to the beginning, half and the end of the macro cycle. It was observed that with the increase of the % of the lipidic ingestion it also increases the % of fat (r=0.30 and 0.45) and that with the increase of caloric ingestion it reduces the % of fat (r = -0.23 and r =- 0.48). Conclusion: The athletes presented differences of energy and macronutrients adaptation especially in the end of the followed timeline. There was a considerable decrease of fat % between the beginning and the middle of the macro cycle, with an increase at the end of the timeline reflecting an inversed relationship with the weight in kilograms of lean mass.
