Anthropometric profile of women’s futsal university athletes according to tactical function
Abstract
The aim of this study was to identify the anthropometric profile of women’s futsal university athletes according to tactical function played in the game. Participated in the study 21 futsal players belonging to the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul team. The variables of body mass, stature, skinfold thickness, body perimeters and bone diameters were collected in order to establish the Anthropometric profile of the athletes. The datawere presented by descriptive statistics and tabulated in the Microsoft Excel 2010. The results demonstrated that in relation to the anthropometric variables, the goalkeepers have higher body mass when compared to the other positions, due, especially, to a higher accumulation of body fat, while the line athletes presented similar characteristics to the respective variables. Thus, the results of this study allow concluding that the tactical function played in game seem to be a decisive factor in such body composition between the goalkeepers and the other players.
