Alimentary profile of practitioners of resistance training in the maturity
Abstract
The strength training is a physical activity still not much practiced in gyms by students in the maturity, being considered an “exhaustive exercise” for beginners with more than 45 years old. The study was carried out with women (predominant Sex, by ages between 50 and 60 years), through nutritional anamneses questionnaire and nourish frequency. The goal was to evaluate the quality of the diet with the practice of strength exercise, considering the natural process of getting old, and, consequently, motivates the research in this area in order to create projects that improve the health quality by nutrition’s specialists through a balanced and adequate diet for strength training during the maturity. It would be interesting to have more adults with 50 years old or older involved in strength training, under nutritional orientation in pre and post power exercise, increasing health and quality of life.
