Abstract

Studies accomplished with animals and humans have been suggesting that the CLA possesses action anti- cancerous anti-atherogenesis, besides being related to alterations in the corporal composition, once it would take to the increase of the muscular mass and reduction of the percentile of fat. With base in this information this work was accomplished with 17 volunteers, being 8 women and 9 men whole muscular activity apprentices and with age among 20-30 years. The evaluation of the corporal composition was accomplished with compass of folds cutaneous of the mark Cescorf Professional and the data were analyzed according to the protocol of Polock to define the percentile of corporal fat. The volunteers were supplemented with 4g of CL Absolute Nutrition that it contains 1000 mg of oil of sump/capsule (CL-Lean®), of isomeric biologically assets that it comes 60 to 80% of CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) and they were guided to not to modify their alimentary habits. The total corporal mass, sum of the cutaneous folds, percentile of corporal fat and index of corporal mass in women didn't suffer significant alterations. In men the results obtained in relation to the sum of the cutaneous folds and to the percentile of fat there were an expressive reduction, however the total corporal mass and the index of corporal mass didn't modify. The study verified that the CLAN didn't present expressive results in humans, as found them in studies with mice. Being more necessary studies to prove his/her effectiveness.
