Los efectos del entrenamiento de resistencia sobre el sobrepeso: un análisis bibliométrico

Resumen

Objetivo: El objetivo de este estudio es proporcionar un análisis bibliométrico integral de los métodos de entrenamiento de resistencia en poblaciones con sobrepeso. El objetivo es presentar un análisis exhaustivo del estado actual de la investigación sobre este tema específico y brindar recomendaciones valiosas a los profesionales que trabajan en esta área. Materiales y métodos: Realizamos una revisión exhaustiva de la literatura científica sobre entrenamiento de resistencia en poblaciones con sobrepeso, abarcando el período de 1995 a 2024. Se realizó una búsqueda exhaustiva en la base de datos Web of Science utilizando las palabras clave "entrenamiento de resistencia" y "sobrepeso". La búsqueda cubrió toda la información relevante contenida en los artículos. Los datos se produjeron en formato BibTex y luego se ingresaron en el programa Bibliometrix para su análisis. Resultados: La revisión mostró que 60 países y 281 revistas publicaron los 666 artículos analizados en este estudio entre 1995 y 2024. Entre las revistas destacadas se incluyen "Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise" y "Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research". Los resultados también indican una colaboración sustancial entre los autores y una fuerte cooperación entre países, siendo Estados Unidos, Canadá, Brasil, Australia e Irán las principales naciones colaboradoras. Conclusión: Dada la incidencia persistentemente alta de sobrepeso, es imperativo investigar tratamientos de ejercicio efectivos. Investigaciones recientes han indicado un creciente interés en el uso del entrenamiento de resistencia como medio para abordar problemas de sobrepeso. Se prevé que esta tendencia creciente persistirá en el futuro. Esto resalta la gravedad de la obesidad como problema de salud pública y resalta la eficacia del entrenamiento de resistencia como estrategia de intervención.
